Natural Outdoor Classroom (NOC)

A post-occupancy evaluation of nature playground design around the country using semi-structured interviews, in partnership with Nature Explore and the Outdoor Classroom Project. The NOC study includes an educator survey created in partnership with our partners to evaluate the effectiveness of over 200 outdoor classrooms around the US and Canada. The survey is supplemented with observational studies at a subset of classrooms, along with qualitative interviews asking teachers for opinions and stories about working in their outdoor classrooms.
